We are very grateful for the prompt support of a number of places of worship in the Pleck area of Walsall, which have kindly offered to open their doors for people in the area of enhanced testing to drop off their completed home-testing kits.
Our team of staff and volunteers can collect completed tests from households, but if residents are able to get to one of these sites, it is hoped that they will feel reassured that their test is ‘in the system’ and they don’t have to wait for a knock at the door.
Residents do not have to be a member of the congregation at any of these places of worship to drop off their completed testing kits; the faith leaders are opening their doors to the people of Pleck so residents are encouraged to use the place of worship closest to where they live.
The places of worship will be open to safely receive completed testing kits from Wednesday 17 February to Saturday 20 February.
Please ensure when dropping your kit(s) off that you follow hands – face- space. Keep a 2m distance from anyone who you do not live with, wear a face covering over your nose and mouth unless you have a valid exemption, use hand sanitiser when entering and wash your hands when you get back home. It is important that you follow the one way system within the buildings and any other safety measures in place.
Anticipated opening times are detailed below, but may be subject to change depending on local circumstances. Residents may wish to call the council’s Enhanced Testing operations team on 01922 619441 before making a journey.
