Making a difference in Walsall Parks

The Walsall Council Healthy Spaces Team has been working closely with Kompan (a playground and fitness equipment supplier) on an exciting expansion of the children’s play area facilities at Kings Hill Park, Darlaston.  Through Kompan’s kind donation of a piece of equipment for this improvement project, we have increased the children's variety of play at the same time of course, as being great fun!

The project was completed last week, and has been a great development for Kings Hill Park and the local community, as we aim to encourage active and inclusive group play through the installation of varied play equipment featured in our parks.

The new features consist of a wheelchair carousel, a wave group swing, and 4 - way springer.

Outdoor play benefits children in so many ways, including improved health and wellbeing, more developed social skills, and increased opportunities to explore and learn.

The Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Paul Bott, and Councillor Oliver Butler, Portfolio Holder for Clean and Green at Walsall Council, officially launched the children’s play area facilities, which tied in perfectly with the local autumn half term, enabling the local children to enjoy the park's new facilities.

You can support Walsall’s parks and green spaces through a range of sponsorship packages, which give you the opportunity to offset the environmental impact of your business by giving back to the community.

These packages and the other planned improvement projects taking place this autumn/ winter at Walsall Arboretum and Palfrey Park, enable organisations the chance to play a part in building better spaces for not just yourself, your friends, your family but the whole Walsall community, whilst raising your business profile in Walsall borough parks.

We encourage you to get in touch if you are interested in supporting other CSR park developments or would just like more information.
