Mizan Spice Limited and Mr Mahmud Ur Rahman, a director of the company, appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court on 25 July 2019 facing the charge of a breach of food safety and hygiene regulations. Both the Company and Mr Mahmud Ur Rahman pleaded guilty. The Company was fined £4,000, with costs of £970 and a victim surcharge of £170 - a total of £5,140. Mr Mahmud Ur Rahman was fined £500, with costs of £1,017 and victim surcharge of £50 - a total of £1,567.
A Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) at the Beechdale Estate in Walsall has been extended for a further 3 years by Walsall Council.

Walsall Council Community Protection officers and partners were a visible presence in the borough yesterday, as they ran licensing and ‘on the spot’ checks on vehicles to make sure they were road safe and compliant with the law.

A Black Country firm was fined in court yesterday, (16 May) for failing to apply for a permit from Walsall Council to put up scaffolding outside a Public House on a busy street that was both hazardous to traffic and pedestrians.

Walsall Council has successfully prosecuted a local roofer for dumping van loads of building rubbish at the same site on three separate occasions leading to him receiving fines and costs totalling over £3500.
