Three major Walsall projects have been given the green light after a meeting of Walsall Council’s Planning Committee.
The replacement of a bridge in Pelsall is one step closer following a meeting of Walsall Council's Cabinet.
The new bridge at Norton Road requires a land swap which will create a new piece of common land to replace existing common land needed to build the new structure.
Work is beginning on a number of projects that will improve public spaces and parks in Walsall and Bloxwich as a result of funding awarded through the government’s Town Deal Fund.
The Acceleration Programme, as it is known, totalling £1.5million will deliver £750,000 of capital improvements to both Bloxwich and Walsall, including enhanced public realm, improvements to parks and green spaces, community safety improvements including additional and updated CCTV, and improved transport links.
At the next cabinet meeting on 9 December, council members will be asked to support the implementation of a New Apprenticeship Training Provider Framework to commence in February 2021.
