As part of the Council’s ICT transformation programme, essential work has been scheduled, affecting the availability of the Payments system for 2 hours on 1 December.
The council will not be able to receive payments for a period of 2 hours from 9am to 11am on Tuesday 1 December 2020 while the planned work takes place. Customers and staff will be unable to use this service during those hours. We expect the service to be up and running as normal from 11am.

The council’s payment system will be unavailable for use via phone or our website on Wednesday 25 November from 9am to 11am as part of a planned service update. The payments service is expected to be up and running by 11am.

Walsall Council’s draft revenue budget for 2021/22 to 2023/24 was reported to Cabinet at their meeting last night, Wednesday 28 October, and was approved to open for public consultation today.
When Walsall Council’s cabinet has its first ‘virtual’ meeting on 19 May, cabinet members will be considering a range of reports in response to the COVID-19 emergency. One of these reports invites cabinet members to consider how the council will transition from the emergency response of the last eight weeks to resetting services and operations in the immediate, mid and long-term future.
At its meeting on 19 May 2020, Walsall Cabinet will consider a report that considers some key achievements made by the Council during 2019-20 in the delivery of its Corporate Plan and Corporate Priorities. The report sets these achievements out in the context of the Council’s five priorities and references a range of activities delivered during the year to assist residents, communities and businesses across the borough. It also recognises the initial impact of COVID-19 on all communities and the way council services responded.
