Walsall Council gains national recognition at IRRV Awards

Walsall Council’s ‘Money Home Job’ service gained national recognition on 9 October at the national IRRV (Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation) Awards. It was named winner of “Most Improved Team of the Year” in the Welfare Benefits category.

Online services and card payments unavailable this weekend.

Western Power Distribution will be carrying out routine maintenance at Walsall Council offices over the weekend of 28–29 September. Due to the resulting temporary power outage, some pages of our website will not be available from 6pm on Friday 27 September, and card payments made in person, by phone or online will also not be possible. Cash payments are not affected. Normal service is expected to be resumed from 8.45am on Monday 30 September. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Problems with inbound calls to some council teams

Please be advised that we are having some problems with the platform that controls inbound calls made to our council tax, benefits and business rates teams this afternoon (19 September 2019). This issue is being dealt with by the provider and we hope to have it sorted out soon. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Online payments not available Monday night (16 September)

Please be advised that the council will not be able to accept online payments tonight (16 September) between 10pm and 12am as our payment system is being upgraded. We apologise for any inconvenience.
