A recent inspection has rated Walsall Council’s children’s services as ‘Good’ overall

Tangible and sustainable improvements in the delivery of services to children and young people in Walsall have been recognised by Ofsted inspectors.

In its report published today Ofsted highlighted exceptional practice from social workers, a deliberate corporate investment into children’s services and a culture of continuous learning, self-awareness and a commitment to improving services for children.

Join the Champions network as the 16 days of action against gender-based violence campaign begins

The 25 November, marks the launch of 16 days of action against Domestic Violence. In support of this national campaign, the Safer Walsall partnership is asking people in the borough to come together, in their communities, workplaces, schools and at home and say ‘no’ to domestic violence. Places of worship and local organisations are being asked to light a candle on the 10 December and people are invited to wear an orange ribbon to raise awareness of the campaign. The council and its partners will be sharing messages on their websites and social media to raise awareness and signpost to sources of support.
