Walsall schools celebrate award winning head teachers

Two Walsall schools are celebrating after their head teachers won a prestigious Pearson Teaching Award. Paul Drew of Beacon Primary School in Willenhall and Nin Matharu of King’s Hill Primary School in Darlaston both won coveted Silver ‘Plato’ Awards.

Schools road test travel safety knowledge in annual A*STARS Quiz

Walsall hosted its 9th annual inter-school A*STARS  at the Town Hall last week and welcomed one hundred and forty ‘safety savvy’ pupils from 35 schools in the borough to the special competition.  Quiz teams were made up of Years 4 & 5 pupils, with four students representing each school.
