Foster Care Fortnight is the UK’s biggest annual fostering campaign which aims to showcase how foster care transforms lives. This year, Foster Care Fortnight started on 13 May and runs until 26 May and Walsall Council is holding a number of events to provide information to those interested in becoming foster carers.

A new film about the challenges and rewards of fostering has been launched.

The five minute film ‘truth be told’, has been launched by 14 local authorities across the Midlands and looks at the true stories of two sets of children and their foster carers.

Fostering services from 15 local councils including Walsall Council, as well as Trusts across the Midlands, have been working in collaboration to produce a new film ‘There was a boy’.
