Walsall Council has revoked a Town trader’s alcohol license after huge stashes of counterfeit cigarettes were found at his shop premises, on three separate occasions. At a recent Walsall Council Licensing and Safety Committee review (11 February 2021), it was unanimously decided that Bikram Singh Mann, landlord of European Off Licence & Convenience Store, 278 Wolverhampton Road, Walsall, WS2 8RQ “had ‘exhibited a blatant disregard of his responsibilities as the Premises Licence Holder” - and that he did not accept blame for the failings at his premises.

Following a request from the Secretary of State, all councils are visiting supermarkets in their area - to reinforce these important COVID -19 safety rules and reiterate the government guidance. Regulatory Services officers from Walsall Council have been a visible presence in the borough, as they visit supermarkets and convenience stores to make sure the coronavirus rules are being followed.

Walsall Council seizes three ‘flytip’ vehicles in less than two days

Walsall Council’s Community Protection Officers have recently seized three vehicles.  The vehicles are thought to be involved in the dumping of waste at a fly tipping hot spot in central Walsall.
