Residents urged to follow the Countryside code and additional advice given by Natural England

People in the borough are being asked to make sure that they follow updated advice when using Public Rights of Way and the countryside. There has been an increase in the number of people accessing Public Rights of Way and the countryside during the COVID-19 pandemic for daily exercise and recreation, and as an alternative to public transport for travel to school or work and therefore Natural England has reviewed and updated the Countryside Code with additional advice.

Two Walsall schools, Short Heath Federation School and Walsall Academy have been shortlisted for ‘The Alex Timpson ARC Attachment Award’. The award is sponsored by Sir John Timpson, who along with his wife Alex fostered over 90 children. Sir John recognises and celebrates best practice in school around supporting children who have experienced attachment and trauma.
