Call for a 'Pause' to Communal Worship' during Lockdown

Walsall’s Director of Public Health, Stephen Gunther has sent a letter to all faith communities in the borough "strongly advising" them to pause all communal prayer and worship during the current national lockdown to help reduce the spread of the new Covid-19 variant. 

Positive cases in Walsall have doubled between 4 – 11 January 2021 with another 320 new infections recorded across the borough in the last 24 hours. Sadly data from Public Health England also confirmed  another 8 coronavirus related deaths in Walsall, yesterday.
