Active steps

Active steps aims to reduce your risk of falling by using exercises that work on your:

  • balance
  • strength
  • stamina
  • posture
  • mobility
  • coordination

It helps you stay active and improves your confidence and independence.

When you start the programme you will fill in a questionnaire to help assess your suitability and needs. We then work with you to tailor the exercises to your needs.

If you have any medical conditions or are new to exercise, you should seek advice from your GP before starting. 

First time attendees should arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the session to have a chat with the instructor and fill in the necessary health questionnaire. 

The classes normally last around one hour, and can be done seated or standing depending on your current mobility levels. Maximum numbers per session apply.
