Aqua-Therapy

Aqua-Therapy provides opportunities for people who are experiencing mobility problems at a variety of levels to take part in physical activity.

The aims of the sessions are not only to help people manage and improve the conditions that have resulted in their reduced mobility but to also encourage them to increase their levels of physical activity for additional health benefits.

The sessions are based in local community leisure centres accross the borough, with each facility having disabled changing facilities and pool access.
A carers policy operates accross the scheme which allows each client to bring a carer with them to assist and support them during the session at no extra charge.

Prior to joining the Aqua-Therapy sessions, each person will need to complete a self assessment to see if they are suitable for our Aqua-Therapy programme.
