Community Health Programmes

The health and fitness development team is responsible for developing and implementing projects and initiatives that help to increase activity levels to benefit the physical, social and mental health of local people.  

  • Active Steps
    Designed to reduce your risk of falling by using exercises that work on balance, strength, stamina, posture, mobility and co-ordination. (Consultation required)
  • Falls and Balance
    A 22 week programme for people who have had a fall in the past year, and for individuals at high risk. (Consultation required)
  • Walsall Walk On
    A range of free walks varying in length and terrain with distances from approximately one mile up to about 6 miles.
  • Jog Walsall including Couch 2 5k
    Anyone who is new to jogging, or has not run for a long time, can be guided through a series of gentle walking and jogging programmes.
  • Fit 4 Work
    Intensive bespoke health support, The service aims to help residents to reduce health related barriers to employment, education or training to help get back into work.
