Help in a crisis

Walsall Council housing & welfare support team operate a crisis support scheme that provides support for low income families and individuals, which includes providing assistance with access to essential food through the black country food bank or the trussell trust at various locations in the borough, heating and/or clothing for those at risk.  Parents or carers who find themselves in a position where they will be unable to provide suitable meals for their children during the school holidays can contact the team to ask for support.

The team work with a wide range of voluntary sector partners to offer residents immediate assistance in a crisis but can also provide further advice about applying for the right benefits.

To contact the team please email Housingandwelfaresupport@walsall.gov.uk or phone 01922 65 2250.
