Living with dementia

Support for people with dementia

If you think you, or someone you love, might be developing dementia you should book an appointment to see your GP. They can help to support a diagnosis of dementia and refer you to local support services if appropriate. It is important to do this early so that you or your carer can benefit from early advice, support and treatment.

The Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (bcpft.nhs.uk) provides services to people who are developing dementia. This link will take you to things like the memory service and other sources of support – your GP can talk to you about this.
