COVID-19 data for Walsall

Walsall COVID-19 figures

Due to the end of free universal testing by the Government on 1 April 2022, we have changed some of the data included in the COVID-19 dashbaord.  We now include ONS Infection Survey data to estimate how many people are testing positive by local authority area. This is now a more accurate representation of current local picture. Data on hospitalisations and deaths remains the same at present.

There can be a time lag to allow us to report the most complete data. The dashboard is updated every Tuesday by the public health team. If you are interested in seeing more data you can view the government data dashboard which has both national and local data.

COVID-19 Outbreak Management Plan

The Walsall COVID-19 Outbreak Management Plan, led by the Director of Public Health Walsall, is the operational response and management for coronavirus disease and any outbreaks that may occur in the borough. The primary aim of the plan is to control COVID-19, reduce the spread of infection and save lives. In doing this, the plan will help to return life to as normal as possible, for as many people as possible, in a way that is safe.
