COVID-19 - Symptom-free testing for businesses

The government’s roadmap out of lockdown aims to protect not only residents, but also our business sectors and the workforce as we go forward. This means taking all the necessary precautions to reduce the risk of transmitting the infection in the workplace.

Employers have a vital role to play in this next phase by minimising the spread of infection among those who cannot work from home by adopting the workplace testing programme and introducing regular testing for symptom-free staff. This allows organisations to identify potential outbreaks and a more immediate response, keeping staff safe and preventing further disruption.

All Walsall residents can access symptom-free testing in order to test twice weekly in a number of ways. Please see the symptom-free testing for all residents page. If you do not register for workplace testing, please encourage your staff to take up the national offer for symptom-free testing for all people in England.
