Costs of publicity and promotion of collective fuel switching

The council promotes fuel switching through a range of low cost methods (leaflets and banners) and uses the referral fee from ichoosr for each completed switch (less than £10 per switch) and money it secured from the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) to help tackle fuel poverty to pay for this promotional work. It also uses this money to pay for the call centre officer(s) to help those who do not have access to email. The council also uses free methods (social media, press releases) to promote the scheme.
