PLEASE NOTE: Walsall Council has taken the decision to close its markets in Walsall Town Centre, Willenhall and Bloxwich to support the government’s attempt to reduce the rate of infection from Coronavirus.
Walsall Council operates markets at Walsall, Willenhall and Bloxwich and the Markets Service are committed to the effective management, development and promotion of these key sites.
The Markets Service work closely with stallholders and the Market Traders’ Associations in order to provide high-quality and vibrant markets for the 5 centres.
Our stallholders sell a huge variety of goods including clothing, bedding, cosmetics, footwear, toiletries, sweets, pet supplies, plants, fruit, vegetables, fish, game, housewares, books, records and much, much more.
Given the high-quality of produce on offer and the great prices, it makes so much sense to visit your local market – especially during current economic times when people are being increasingly cost and quality conscious.
As well as the great produce on sale, the markets are also places to visit in order to savour the fantastic atmosphere – many of the traders have been operating family businesses for generations and a real feature of the markets are being able to hear the traders pitch their wares to passing customers.
Furthermore, we have a number of food and drinks concessions as part of the markets which provide seating areas for people to stop, relax and chat.
