Skills Support for the Unemployed is an ESF programme managed by People Plus Ltd and aims to help unemployed and economically inactive people enter, progress and sustain employment, education or apprenticeships. Through flexible and personalised packages of support the provision will enhance engagement and work readiness activity, as well as ensure sustained job outcomes for disadvantaged people who face multiple barriers to work.
People Plus help people to transform lives and businesses through work, training, education and financial advice. They help people source and retain sustainable employment, whilst working with employers to develop work forces of the future.
People Plus are offering free distance learning courses that are available as flexible distance learning programmes, allowing you to study from home or at work in your own time.
Most of the courses are free*, providing you complete the course within the given timeframe. You must be 19-years-old or over and a resident in England to be eligible for these courses.
Courses available include:
- Level 1 award in Mental Health Awareness
- Level 2 certificate in common health conditions
- Level 2 certificate in principles of Team Leading
- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Dignity and Safeguarding in Adult Health and Social Care
