West Midlands
The West Midlands region was awarded €400 million through the current 2007 to 2013 ERDF Programme to support projects that create jobs, business growth, and regenerate local areas and communities.

ERDF has made an enormous impact on the West Midlands region to date:

• 13,355 jobs have been created
• 11,663 jobs have been safeguarded
• 11,206 people have been assisted to start their own business
• 16,556 existing businesses have been helped to grow and develop.

The Black Country

The Black Country encompasses the boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and the City of Wolverhampton. The area houses £ 1 million people, hosts over 400,000 jobs and generates around £16.2bn GVA per annum.

A large number of important ERDF investments have taken place across the Black Country between 2007 and 2013 (n+2). Investments range from business support projects to large scale capital builds.
