Volunteering

Walsall Council and many of its partners provide opportunities for volunteering. On somewhere like Barr Beacon, this could be anything from simply keeping an eye out and reporting any problems or incidents to taking  part in a regular programme of activity.

If you fancy getting your hands dirty there are opportunities to join site management work parties where you could help with construction work, such as installing steps and stiles or helping to manage a wildlife habitat.

Alternatively, you may prefer to support our events and activity programme, this could be something like being part of big events like Bands On The Beacon to volunteering with the healthy walking project – Walsall Walk On.

As well as helping to support our work, there’ll be benefits for you too. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, which could help your career, and it’s good for your physical and mental health.
