Reference books in the museum library

We have a wealth of information relating to the Walsall leather trade available to researchers and family historians.

The Livery Companies Library

A wide-ranging reference collection of over 1200 books, periodicals, pamphlets etc., covering all aspects of the subject of leather and leatherworking, probably unique in the UK in terms of its range.  It includes approximately fifty trade directories covering the period 1813 to the present day.  We welcome researchers who wish to use this collection, which is available by appointment.
