Statement of accounts 2024/25 (including Auditors Annual Report)

Walsall Council has prepared its financial accounts for 2024/25. These were approved for publication by our Audit Committee on 17 November 2025. They have subsequently been signed off by our external auditors, Grant Thornton, on 28 November 2025. The financial accounts include the external auditors audit certificate, narrative report and the council’s financial statements.

The audit cannot yet be concluded as Grant Thornton are waiting for confirmation from the National Audit Office that they have concluded their audit of the Whole of Government Accounts for the year ending 31 March 2025. Once this work has been completed, we will publish the Notice of Conclusion of the Audit.
