King George V Playing Fields 3G pitch consultation

Overview

We’re planning to transform King George V Playing Fields in Bloxwich. This work is part of a £25 million Town Deal programme to improve the area. Over the next year we’ll upgrade the site to create better playing fields and sports facilities.

The Green Bloxwich programme will deliver these improvements, with funding from the government’s Towns Fund.

Planned works

As part of the upgrade, we have planning permission for a 3G (third generation artificial grass) football pitch. This includes:

• goals catering for 11, 7 and 9 a-side games
• fully fenced enclosure
• floodlighting
• storage facilities

About this consultation

We are now seeking feedback on the 3G football pitch. Your views will help inform how we develop our operational plans, such as:

• access
• types of activities
• operating hours

This is the start of an ongoing conversation. We want to hear from everyone, whether you play football or not, including:

• local residents
• local businesses
• community organisations
• anyone who uses King George V Playing Fields
