“ Improving Bloxwich’s parks is a key part of our plan for Bloxwich, creating opportunities for local people to spend time outdoors for leisure and exercise, and creating attractive, safe spaces for children and young people. It’s great to see work underway in Leamore Park great and I look forward to seeing them up and running early next year “

Leamore Park will have a seaside themed children’s play area, designed by local schoolchildren. The Golden Mile Circuit will be upgraded to create a new walking and running activity track suitable for all ages, and the park will be landscaped including the planting of new trees, plants and bulbs. Pathways will be repaired and resurfaced as needed and new/additional seating will be added, as well as bollards to deter antisocial behaviour.

These park improvements form part of the £25million Bloxwich Town Deal, funded through the Government’s Towns Fund, which will also see Bloxwich Park, Memorial and Prominade Gardens and King George V Memorial Playing Fields transformed in the coming months.
