Walsall Council’s fortnightly garden waste collections will restart from Monday 30 March 2026.

Residents are advised that their collection day may have changed from last year, and they should check their updated schedule online before the service begins.

The borough’s free brown bin service will once again collect garden waste from households across Walsall, helping residents dispose of grass cuttings, hedge trimmings and other garden materials responsibly during the busy spring and summer months.

To help ensure collections run smoothly, households are asked to put their bins out by 6.30am on collection day.

Residents are encouraged to use their brown bins for the following garden waste items:

  • Flowers and plants
  • Grass cuttings
  • Hedge clippings
  • Tree clippings
  • Leaves

“ Garden waste collections are an important service for many residents, particularly as gardens begin to grow again in the spring months.

“We want to make sure everyone is ready for the start of the service, so I would encourage residents to take a moment to check their collection day online, as it may be different from last year.

“By making sure the correct waste is in brown bins and placing them out on time, residents can help our crews keep collections running smoothly across the borough. “

Councillor Suky Samra, Portfolio Holder for Street Scene
