Walsall waste and recycling information for 2025 Christmas and New Year season

Walsall Council has released its waste collection and recycling information ahead of this year’s Christmas and New Year period.
Approximately 35,000 households in the borough will see their bins emptied on a different day to their normal scheduled day over the festive period.
There will be no bin collections on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 December, or on Thursday 1 January 2026. Collections due on other days will be made as normal.
Revised dates are as follows:

| Thursday 1 January 2026 | Saturday 3 January 2026 – A maximum of ONE extra bag of waste will be taken. | Thursday 15 January 2026 |
Fryers Road (Bloxwich) and Merchants Way (Aldridge) household waste and recycling centres are closed on Thursday 25 December, Friday 26 December and Thursday 1 January 2026.
Bulky waste collections and deliveries for new or replacement bins will not take place on Thursday 25 December, Friday 26 December and Thursday 1 January 2026.

Clinical waste collections (orange bag and yellow bin) will also change over the Christmas period. If you are due a collection on Thursday 25 December, you will receive your collection on Saturday 27 December instead. Further information below:
