Walsall marks Carers Week with Information & Wellbeing Day
Published on
Walsall Council is proud to host a free Information & Wellbeing Day in partnership with Walsall Carers Hub and Midland Mencap, celebrating Carers Week 2025. The event will take place on Wednesday, 11 June 2025, from 10am to 3pm at St Paul’s Church, Walsall, WS1 1DA.

The theme for Carers Week 2025, Caring About Equality, highlights the inequalities facing unpaid carers in the UK today and the steps needed to create a fairer society for carers.
A significant highlight of the day will be the official launch of Walsall Council’s All Age Carers Strategy 2024–2027, designed to enhance the lives of carers of all ages throughout the borough.
The event serves as an opportunity to celebrate and support Walsall's nearly 30,000 unpaid carers. Attendees can benefit from relaxing wellbeing sessions, including Chair Yoga, Massages, and Tai Chi, connect with fellow carers, enjoy a complimentary buffet lunch, and explore stalls from local organisations offering essential information, advice, and support.
“ There are nearly 30,000 unpaid carers here in Walsall. This event is about recognising the vital role that those carers play in our community and giving them the time and space to focus on their own wellbeing. “
No booking is required; carers are welcome to drop in at any time. For more information, please call 01922 616798 or email info@walsallcarershub.org.uk.
