We’re delighted to launch our Summer Adventure Passport a free activity booklet packed full of fun, engaging, and educational challenges, specially created to support early development and encourage children to take part in a wide variety of activities over the summer.

Passports are available to collect from your nearest local library or Family Hub from Friday 11 July 2025.

The activities cover a range of key learning areas, suitable for 0-5s, including developing independence, playing and socialising, eating and drinking, speaking, listening and understanding, reading, writing, and fostering a love for learning.

Many of the activities can be completed with family members, providing a great

opportunity for quality time together.  Parents and children will be able tick off each task together and earn a stamp for each completed activity, tracking their progress is an excellent way of helping children build their confidence, keep motivated and provides a sense of accomplishment.

Activity highlights include:

  • Eating and Drinking: Explore healthy habits and new food choices
  • Independence Skills: Practice getting dressed, washing and drying hands
  • Playing and Socialising: Activities to build social skills and friendships
  • Reading, Writing, Numbers and Counting: Fun tasks that lay the foundation for literacy and numeracy
  • Speaking, Listening and Understanding: Sharing stories, developing communication
  • Skills and Teamwork

“ This is a wonderful initiative to encourage children and their families to take part in a host of varied learning opportunities and fun activities over the long summer holiday.

However, the passport offers more than just fun activities—it serves as a valuable tool to support parents in preparing their child for school, while also providing families with helpful resources and guidance to ensure a joyful and enriching summer for every child.
