Walsall Council launches new online safeguarding referral portal for adults across borough
Published on
Walsall Council, in collaboration with other Walsall Safeguarding Partnership (WSP) agencies, has today (Monday 12 January 2026) launched a new, easy-to-use online portal for residents to raise concerns about adults who may be experiencing abuse or neglect in the borough.
The new online safeguarding referral portal now makes it quicker and easier to raise safeguarding concerns about abuse, neglect or harm. Residents can also contact the adult social care team by calling 0300 555 2922 to discuss any concerns they may have.
“ This new safeguarding referral portal reaffirms our commitment to supporting vulnerable adults that are experiencing abuse, neglect or harm in Walsall.
“By moving to the online portal, we can respond to concerns more promptly ensuring people get the help they need sooner.
“
The new online safeguarding referral portal asks for all the same important details as before but offers a much faster and more secure way to submit information. This change means the council, and other WSP partner agencies will be able to respond to concerns raised more promptly, providing support and aid to those in need sooner.
The WSP is a group of partner agencies, including Walsall Council, that works to better protect vulnerable adults and children across the borough. The WSP recognises that individuals’ ability to protect themselves from abuse, neglect or harm varies from person to person in the diverse communities across Walsall.
