Two acclaimed shows come to Walsall Arena & Arts Centre this October

Audiences can enjoy two unique and entertaining evenings at Walsall Arena and Arts Centre this October, as acclaimed performers David Benson and Charlie Connelly bring celebrated stage shows to the venue.
The month begins with Attention All Shipping: A Celebration of the Shipping Forecast on Friday 2 October at 7:30pm, followed by My Life with Kenneth Williams on Friday 30 October at 7:30pm.
Inspired by his bestselling book which has sold more than a quarter of a million copies, author and broadcaster Charlie Connelly brings the much-loved shipping forecast vividly to life in a show that explores its history, cultural impact and enduring appeal. Blending humour, stories and fascinating insights, Connelly delves into how a weather forecast for mariners became one of Britain's most beloved broadcasts, explaining its curious language and sharing tales from his own journey through all 31 sea areas.
Later in the month, actor David Benson returns to one of his most celebrated roles in My Life with Kenneth Williams, revisiting his acclaimed portrait of the beloved Carry On star. Created to mark what would have been Williams' 100th birthday, the production explores the remarkable connection between Benson and the comedy legend, bringing Williams' wit, talent and personality back to life through a performance praised by critics and audiences alike. The production first took the Edinburgh Fringe and the West End by storm and has been described as "a masterpiece of comic timing" by the Evening Standard and "an exhilarating one-man tour de force" by the Independent on Sunday.

Tickets for Attention All Shipping: A Celebration of the Shipping Forecast are priced at £22.50, while tickets for My Life With Kenneth Williams are £20. Both performances begin at 7.30pm.
