Published on

Walsall Council is delighted to announce that the refurbishment of Leamore Park in Bloxwich is now officially complete. The renovation transforms the park into a vibrant, welcoming space.

Mayor of Walsall officially opens Leamore Park play area 3

Leamore Park now has a seaside-themed children's play area, also designed by local children. The Golden Mile Circuit has also been upgraded to create a new walking and running activity track, suitable for all ages.

The refurbishment has been made possible thanks to investment from the Bloxwich Town Deal, part of a £24 million package allocated to the area.

After months of careful work, the renewed park features:

  • Upgraded pathways and improved accessibility
  • Modern seating, lighting, and signage – as part of the playground
  • Upgraded play areas for children

This project reflects the council’s commitment to investing in public spaces that bring people together, support healthy activity, and enhance local pride.

“ I’m thrilled to see Leamore Park reopen in its new form. This is a fantastic day for Bloxwich. The park now offers an inviting, safe, and beautiful place where families, friends, and neighbours can come to relax, play, and connect. I’m proud of the work our teams and partners have done. “

Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Louise Harrison.

Local residents have shared their excitement about the changes, saying the park feels safer, greener and much more welcoming for families and friends to enjoy.

Walsall Council thanks residents, contractors, and community groups for their support throughout the refurbishment.
