Message from the Mayor of Walsall

Today (24 February 2025), the Mayor of Walsall has sent a letter to the Mayor of Mulhouse following the knife attack in Mulhouse, France over the weekend.
Dear Madame le Maire,
On behalf of the residents of Walsall I would like to offer my sincere condolences and support for our friends in Mulhouse following the horrific attack in the city.
Like others around the world, I was shocked when the news emerged of the attack. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.
The twinning relationship between Walsall and Mulhouse is longstanding. It dates back more than 60 years and provides a strong bond between our communities. Together we stand against all forms of terrorism and against those who wish to do harm to others.
You are in our thoughts and in our prayers at this difficult time.
