Makers’ Market to showcase more than 50 local creatives
Published on
Park Street in Walsall town centre will showcase makers, artists, crafters, designers, and food artisans from Walsall and the surrounding area on Saturday 13 September, as part of Walsall MakerFest 2025. With over 50 stallholders taking part, the Makers’ Market will champion small businesses and offer residents the chance to discover regional creatives and shop local.

The market brings together a diverse mix of creatives selling a range of arts and crafts including jewellery, ceramics, textiles and artisan food, reflecting Walsall’s heritage and today’s thriving maker community. The market will run from 11am to 5pm along Park Street.
Visitors can expect to see plastic free cosmetics and skincare from Stript Cosmetics; gourmet cookies and cakes by Micci’s Biccies and Angel of Cakes; beautiful bouquets from Flowers ‘N’ Blooms, home, bath and body fragrances by COW Home & Body; handmade ceramics from White Cat Ceramics; jewellery from Ditsy Kitty Designs and KK72 and artwork by Ideas Loading, Delilah Lee Art, Gordon Sanderson as well as many others.
Festival highlights alongside the market include:
- A Festival Food Court hosted by LGK – A street-food quarter complementing the market with flavours from around the world.
- Story Village at The Bridge – creative writing and making activities. Hear stories written by local people and groups, join a poetry writing workshop, add your own tales to the story wall and enjoy storytelling sessions with Peter Chand.
- Walsall Society of Artists takeover at The Crossing at St Paul’s with local artists exhibiting, demonstrating and selling.
- A five-hour programme of dance outside The Crossing at St Paul’s showcasing the culturally rich local dance scene.
- Live music in Gallery Square from Sass Brown, Dayton Grey, Bhangra Smash Up and The 2Ds.
“ Following the huge success of last year’s inaugural event, Walsall MakerFest once again celebrates Walsall’s proud heritage as the ‘Town of 100 Trades’, and shines a light on the talent, creativity and innovation that continues to thrive across our borough and beyond. “
