On Saturday 29 November, from 11am to 8pm, Walsall MakerFest Fringe will bring makers’ markets, creative drop-in workshops, and a special light projection show called Illuminate to the town centre.

From 4.45pm, Illuminate will light up The Crossing at St Paul’s ahead of Walsall Council’s official Christmas light switch on taking place at The Bridge by the Sister Dora Statue at 5.30pm.

The Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Louise Harrison, said, “We are excited to welcome back our popular Walsall MakerFest events. At our previous MakerFest, we welcomed more than 54,000 visitors and residents to our town centre.

“If you are interested in gifting loved ones handmade, artisan crafted items, or local produce, then come along to browse the stalls at our indoor and outdoor Makers’ markets or even try creating your own with our free workshops.”

MakerFest Fringe Itinerary:

11am-3pm: Creative drop-in workshops:

The Crossing will host a drop-in for those wanting to upcycle their festive decorations, and other free seasonal activities throughout the day.

3pm-8pm: Walsall Festive Makers’ Market: An extra special seasonal event hosted at The Square at The Crossing at St Paul’s. The MakerFest Fringe will feature 20 local makers, artists and creatives selling handcrafted gifts, unique decorations, and other seasonal treats.
