Local History Fair returns to Walsall this October

Residents are invited to celebrate the borough’s past at the Local History Fair 2025.

The fair will take place on Saturday 25 October from 11am to 2.30pm at the Lichfield Street Hub (WS1 1TR). 

The free event is open to all ages and will feature talks, displays and family-friendly activities, bringing Walsall’s heritage to life. 

Highlights include: 

  • “Midlands Zeppelin Outrage” – a talk by local historian Ian Bott at 12 noon (booking required via localhistorycentre@walsall.gov.uk or 01922 652212).
  • Interactive activities for families hosted by the Royal Air Force Museum, Midlands.
  • Displays by local history groups and heritage organisations.
  • Second-hand book sale.
  • Updates on Walsall Archives’ exciting National Lottery Heritage Fund project
