Know Your Rights: Join Council’s Carers Rights Day at Walsall Manor Hospital
Published on
Walsall Council is marking Carers Rights Day on Thursday 20 November 2025 at Walsall Manor Hospital with a free informative session for carers across the borough so they can learn what support is available to them.
The free session is taking place between 10.30am and 2.30pm. It will provide information on topics like how to request a carer’s assessment, the right to ask a GP practice how they can identify you as a carer, and protection against discrimination or harassment.
“ Our Carers Information Day will also provide guidance on the support available to unpaid carers, and the chance to register with Walsall Carers Hub. “
No booking is required, and carers are welcome to visit at any time. The session is free to attend and will be located on the ground floor, at the foot of the escalator in the Main Atrium at Walsall Manor Hospital, Moat Road, Walsall WS2 9PS.
This event is being delivered in partnership with Family & Carers Support Service, Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, Walsall Carers Hub, Midland Mencap, and Forward Carers.
