Hundreds of locals to get into work with successful Walsall Jobs fair

On Thursday 11 September 2025, Walsall Council’s employment service, Walsall Works, hosted a successful jobs fair, providing opportunities for residents to connect with potential employers and explore various job openings.
The event which attracted more than 1000 job seekers was officially opened by Councillor Mark Statham, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Children, Families and Lifelong Learning.
Over 68 employers and training providers were in attendance including Bowmer Kirkland, Pure Gym, Amey, Alpha Healthcare, Bright Direction Training, Kier, Pinpoint Recruitment, Suez, Smart Works, Volunteer It Yourself and Hayward Healthcare.
These employers offered job new job openings and training in fields ranging from Construction, Engineering, Logistics, Care, IT & Technology, Public Sector, to Business Administration and Customer Service.
There were also several new businesses including the top 10 recruiters in Walsall.

Since 2013, the Walsall Works Expo has been the largest jobs fair of the West Midlands' employment landscape, helping thousands of residents find work and training opportunities.
The next Walsall Works Expo will be Thursday 19 March 2026.
Walsall Works offers comprehensive support for residents seeking employment, including job search assistance and training. The service also provides specialized support for individuals with learning disabilities or additional needs, helping them prepare for jobs or volunteering opportunities.
