Four fly-tippers fined and van seized in Walsall

A vehicle has been seized and four people have received fines following separate fly-tipping incidents across Walsall.
Working in partnership with West Midlands Police, Walsall Council seized a vehicle on June 18 linked to two separate fly-tipping offences in the borough.
The vehicle was identified during investigations into incidents on Park Road, Willenhall, on 25 April 2026 and Cairn Drive, Walsall, on 27 May 2026. A potential offender has been identified, with further enquiries ongoing.
The seized vehicle will be held as part of ongoing investigations. Should it remain unclaimed, further action, including disposal, may be taken.
The seizure forms part of the council’s ongoing work to tackle environmental crime and prevent repeat offending.
In separate investigations, a further four individuals have each been issued with £400 Fixed Penalty Notices after being caught fly-tipping on CCTV cameras.
Offences were recorded on Darlaston Road, Walsall (14 March), Park Road, Willenhall (6 April), Park Lane, Darlaston (13 April) and Skip Lane, Walsall (13 April).
In each case, council officers carried out investigations which led to the offenders being identified and interviewed. Following full admissions, Fixed Penalty Notices were issued and have since been paid.
“ Fly-tipping is a criminal offence that damages our environment, blights local communities and places an unnecessary burden on taxpayers.
“These cases demonstrate that we will investigate reports thoroughly and take action against those responsible. Whether through Fixed Penalty Notices, vehicle seizures or prosecution where appropriate, we will continue to use the powers available to us to tackle environmental crime across the borough.
“We would encourage residents to continue reporting incidents so that action can be taken against offenders and our neighbourhoods can be kept clean and safe. “

All income from Fixed Penalty Notices is reinvested into enforcement activity and environmental services to help keep Walsall clean and safe.
