The trailer will also provide information about services including bulky waste collections, Household Waste Recycling Centres and how to report environmental offences.

Starting Monday October 12, the EnviroCrime trailer will visit Bloxwich, Darlaston, Willenhall and Walsall town centre.

The activity forms part of wider work to tackle environmental crime, encouraging people across Walsall to take pride in their local area and play a part in keeping it clean.

Schools across the borough are also being encouraged to get involved in Proud of Our Borough creative activities, including arts and poetry.

The EnviroCrime trailer will visit:

Darlaston – Monday 12 October – King Street.

10am to 1pm

Bloxwich – Tuesday 13 October - Market Square.

10am to 1pm

Willenhall – Wednesday 14 October – Market Place.

10am to 1pm

Walsall town centre – Friday 16 October – Park Street.

11am to 2pm

“ Keeping our communities clean is something we all have a part to play in, and these events give residents and councillors the chance to get involved directly.

The trailer provides an opportunity to speak to our teams, raise concerns and find out more about the action being taken on environmental crime. We also want to encourage people to take pride in where they live and help make a difference in their own communities. “

Councillor Nicky Barker, Deputy Leader

Residents are reminded that fly-tipping is a criminal offence and can result in fixed penalty notices, prosecution and the seizure of vehicles used to commit offences.

Environmental crime can be reported online via Walsall Council’s website.
