Published on

Food and music lovers are in for a treat at this summer’s Bostin’ Black Country Bash, taking place at Walsall Arboretum on Saturday 5 July. The free, family-friendly festival will dish up a rich helping of mouth-watering cuisine, artisan traders, and home-grown talent, all in celebration of the Black Country's unique heritage.

Examples of Sri Lankan street food
The day's food offering will include Sri Lankan street food from Colombo Street On Wheels.

The event marks the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Global Geopark network, with the Black Country recognised as one of its prestigious members. The designation highlights the region’s geological significance in shaping the Industrial Revolution and its enduring impact on the world.

Visitors can enjoy Sri Lankan street food from Colombo Street On Wheels, jacket potatoes from Hungry for Music, Jamaican food from Taste of Jamaica and more. Attendees will also be able to sip and socialise at The Vanderbar, a stylish mobile vintage bar van serving up local real ales, lagers, cocktails and craft drinks. Other local traders will include sports memorabilia from Bostin Sports, hand painted vases and planters from You Are Lovely, scents from Levant Perfumes Ltd, wax melts scented salts and more from Serious Scents, as well as healing crystals and well-being gifts from Angel Wing Crystals.

A red mobile bar with a queue of people
The Vandabar, a stylish mobile vintage bar will also be at the event.

The day will also include children’s rides, entertainment and drop-in crafts from the likes of Walsall Leather Museum. The Black Country Geopark team will also be at the festival to tell the story of how the Black Country played a major role in the creation of our world today.

“ The Bostin’ Black Country Bash is a brilliant showcase of the creativity and talent that thrives right here in the Black Country. From incredible local bands and performers to our fantastic independent traders and food vendors, this event captures the true spirit of our community. We’re proud to host it in Walsall and look forward to welcoming residents and visitors for a day full of music and entertainment. “

Councillor Gary Flint, Portfolio holder for Culture, Health and Wellbeing at Walsall Council.
