Join artist and potter, Kate Tilley as she leads another of her popular drop-in pottery sessions. Kate will be helping our young visitors to create their own pottery sheep.

Eid al-Fitr

Join the team to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, the Islamic festival marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Activities include:

  • Eid card making with artist, Nilupa Yasmin
  • Hanging canvas painting with artist, Taiba Aktar
  • Nasheed and Salah performed by local Imam Ishaq Ayubi
  • Mehndi by Walsall Creative Factory
  • Delicious food from Hargun Sweet Centre
  • Prayer room available

Sunday Art Club

Free admission, drop-in sessions. Ages four years old and above.

  • Sunday 29 March – 3D Bunny Portraits – make a 3D animal portrait that pops out from the page.
  • Sunday 5 April – No Sunday Art Club this week as its Easter Sunday.
  • Sunday 12 April – Nature Paper Craft – manipulate paper with cuts, folds and curls to create stunning 3D artworks.

Funny Bunny Hand Puppets

Cut, fold, scrunch and stick paper, card and tissue to collage a spritely spring scene and enjoy Easter-themed play in the sensory tray.

  • Wednesday 1 April – Paper Easter Wreaths – make a colourful wreath of springtime shapes and colours to decorate your home.
  • Wednesday 8 April – Rock ‘n’ Roll Microphones – use recycled materials to fashion your own rockstar mic.

Young Masters – Botanical Living Inks

Thursday 2 April, 11am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3pm

Ages six years old and above

Science meets art in this experimental painting workshop. Join artist, Sam Mace in creating paintings that have a life of their own. Mix natural botanical inks with everyday foodstuffs such as lemon juice, vinegar and bicarbonate of soda, then watch the magic happen as the colours change.

Young Masters – Plane Faced Portraits

Thursday 9 April, 11am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3pm

£4.50 per child – advanced booking is essential as numbers are limited.

Ages six years old and above

Join artist, Alex Fawson in exploring the art of portraiture. Learn about proportions of the face, how to build tone using charcoal techniques, and how to use erasers as a drawing tool. After this session you’ll be well on your way to becoming an expert.
