Decision reached on compulsory purchase order for Willenhall

Walsall Council’s Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) for Moat Street/Villiers Street in Willenhall has been confirmed following a public inquiry which came to an end in August.
The Council has received a decision letter and is now awaiting the confirmed Order.
“ I am delighted with the decision to grant compulsory purchase powers for Willenhall. We will now follow the statutory notification procedure to notify all parties, but this is a positive step forward in our transformative plans for Willenhall. “
