Switching energy providers

Community switching

Switch Together (formerly The Big Community Switch) uses the bargaining power of your community to get the best energy deal for you. We joined the auction scheme in 2017.

How the Switch Together: Energy scheme works

  • You register for free and share your energy usage with Switch Together
  • Suppliers compete to give you a personal energy offer
  • You receive a clear offer showing prices and estimated yearly cost
  • You choose whether to accept, and if you do, the switch is handled for you

You can find out more about the scheme and register for collective fuel switching online:

You can contact Switch Together if you have any questions, or if you have problems with your switch.

Other ways to switch your energy provider

There are other organisations who can help you compare energy providers and tariffs and decide on the best deal for your usage.

Ofgem – Energy regulator for Great Britain
