Get support to live at home

Information icon Do you need help now?

If you need help for a mental health crisis, call NHS 111. If you need support or advice (including out of hours service), contact us.

We can help you stay safe and independent in your own home.

Our support is flexible and based on what matters to you. We will work with you to understand what help you need.

What we can help with

We can support you with personal care and daily routines, for example:

  • getting in and out of bed
  • using the toilet
  • washing, bathing or showering
  • washing and brushing your hair
  • shaving
  • getting dressed and undressed

We can also support you with:

  • moving around your home safely
  • preparing meals and drinks
  • taking your medicine

We will always treat you with dignity, respect and privacy.

How to get support

The first step is to contact us (opens in new tab) for a Care Act assessment.

The assessment is a conversation about your daily life and the help you may need. You can have someone you trust with you if you want.

We'll use this information to agree the right support for you. We may suggest a period of reablement, if that's appropriate, before putting longer-term care in place.

Paying for care

You may need to pay towards the cost of your care. How much you pay depends on your financial situation, and you might need to have a financial assessment to work this out.
