Help with employment, training and education
If you're looking for employment, education or training, and you meet our criteria, we can help you via our Pathway to Independence services.
Am I eligible?
You are eligible if you live in the borough, are not in employment, education or training and have a:
- learning disability
- physical disability
- sensory, visual or hearing impairment
- mental health issue
- long term health condition
- autism diagnosis
You are also eligible if you are:
- a carer
- a young person with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) making the transition to adulthood
We can also help if you are aged 16 or over and not in employment, education or training. You do not need to meet the eligibility criteria above.
What we offer
Our Specialist Employment Advisers will work with you to create a plan based on your needs. This will support you into work, training or education.

- support to contact employers
- work with Walsall Works and Jobcentre Plus

Support for young people with SEND
- help with the move into adulthood
- support to plan next steps
Extra support
- signposting to services such as housing, welfare rights and adult social care
