TIPs set out a vision and strategy for Bloxwich and Walsall to grow economically.

Final list of agreed projects

Although the initial business cases were approved, a subsequent change request was submitted. This has been approved.

Bloxwich Town Fund projects

  1. Active Travel and Connectivity: Improving cycling and walking connections between Bloxwich High Street, Walsall town centre and local employment sites.
  2. Promotion of Construction Skills through Regeneration: Equipping the local labour force with construction skills and training. Building new homes, bringing existing buildings back into use, creating new jobs training opportunities and local supply chains.
  3. Community Capital: Upgrading community skills facilities. Improving digital access to support local people into employment and training.
  4. Bloxwich Launchpad (previously known as Incubation Space and Digital Access Centre): A space on Bloxwich High Street for local start-ups and small businesses.
  5. Green Bloxwich: Creating new parks, allotments for growing food, and zones to encourage wildlife, as well as a public space for festivals and events. Refurbishing heritage buildings to bring them into economic use.

Walsall Town Fund projects

  1. Construction Skills Academy: Providing construction skills training for local learners.
  2. Active Travel and Connectivity: Improving cycling and walking connections between Walsall town centre, Bloxwich High Street and local employment sites.
  3. Digital Skills Hub: A new hub in the town centre to encourage digital growth.
  4. The Creative Industries Enterprise Centre: A makerspace and skills development hub aimed at small enterprises and local residents.
  5. Active Public Spaces: Developing an inviting public space with enhanced visitor facilities.
  6. Community Capital: Grants programme for local Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) and social enterprise organisations.
  7. Adult Learning Campus (replaces previous Town Centre Community Learning Campus): A new adult education facility on the high street, delivering wider education and learning strategies.
