Report a pothole
A pothole is hole or damage in a road or pavement surface. Potholes can be hazardous to drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
If the problem is a different type of fault, please use our report a road or pavement fault form instead.
What you need to tell us
To report a pothole, you will need to tell us:
- where it is
- how wide and how deep it is (approximately)
Photographs of the pothole that include some background will help us to identify the scale and location of the problem. Only provide photographs if it is safe to do so.

If the map says the location is not managed by Walsall Council
Find out what to do if the problem is on privately-owned land (such as social housing land and non-council car parks).
If you believe that the location you've identified belongs to Walsall Council and is not private, you can let us know and help us keep our records up to date.
